University policy requires that all 研究 involving human subjects be reviewed and approved by the USA Institutional Review Board (IRB) before 研究 activities 开始. The IRB is a single part of a larger Human 研究 Protection Program (HRPP) at the University of 南 Alabama. The USA HRPP is a collaborative network of institutional officials, 研究ers, faculty, staff, students, and members from the community whose aim is to support ethically and scientifically sound 研究.

The University of 南 Alabama facilitates human subjects 研究 through two IRB committees: The Biomedical and the EBR (Educational and Behavioral 研究) committees.
